MGA – Moga Gallery Art is an art studio based in Timișoara, founded in 2016. The most unique and authentic artworks come to life on our easels!
Our club’s courses welcome both children and adults. Whether it’s oil painting on canvas, graphic design, or architectural studies, our mission is to make the Visual Arts more accessible and widely appreciated by everyone.
In this current climate of artistic uncertainty, our club is far from being “under anesthesia” — and the proof lies in the works exhibited, created by artists with diverse professions and life paths.
Andrei Moga
Born on August 12, 1985, in Beiuș, Bihor County, Romania, Andrei spent his childhood in the city of Oradea. He graduated from the Fine Arts High School in Oradea, then went on to study Landscape Architecture at USAMVBT, and Painting at the Faculty of Fine Arts, part of the West University of Timișoara.
Complementary studies:
– Spiru Haret University – Faculty of Law
– West University of Timișoara – Master’s Degree in Criminal Law and Forensics
He has been practicing drawing and oil painting on canvas since the age of 13. His artistic themes vary widely, ranging from technical drawing to classical painting. He had the honor of apprenticing under the world-renowned caricature master, Ștefan Popa Popa’s.
He draws deep inspiration from Romanian painting (Theodor Aman, Corneliu Baba), as well as from revolutionary European masters such as Francisco de Goya and Caravaggio, known for his dramatic chiaroscuro style.
In addition to his artistic career, Andrei has been an active firefighter with ISU Banat Timișoara since 2006 — a path supported morally by the institution itself.
Future Plans
– Organizing exhibitions together with his students in some of the most unique and unconventional art spaces
– Further developing the MGA – Moga Gallery Art Club, a place dedicated to art and open to all ages, where participants can explore various visual creation workshops
– Collaborating with institutions, psychology clinics, and art therapy centers to promote art as a powerful form of expression and healing
